Senior Account Executive

Hatch is looking for a rock star Senior Account Executive to join our diverse, energetic and simply put…fun-loving team.

This person will work strategically across accounts by developing and nurturing great relationships with our clients, media and industry influencers alike. From driving strategic projects to working with account leaders to manage account teams to mentoring other team members, Senior Account Executives play a key role here at Hatch and we’d love to hear from you if you think you’d be a great fit for our growing team.

So, what does it take to be the next Hatchling?
As an SAE at Hatch, you’ll be focused on:
Project Management: consistently delivering results; responsibility and ownership for success of programs such as speaking/awards, customer programs, and reviews; prioritizing tasks and assignments; demonstrating a high level of organizational skills; meeting deadlines; attention to detail; confidence and competency in reviewing the team’s work
Client Relations: Understanding our client’s business goals, market position, competitive set, and key messages to provide strategic counsel
Strategy: Providing recommendations to the team and clients and developing comprehensive communication plans to meet client goals
Media/Analyst Relations: Driving major media strategies and initiatives based on established media relationships
Content Creation: Writing and editing materials (contributed articles, executive talking points, major presentations, PR plans, blog posts, press releases, social content, etc.); and the ability to provide constructive feedback on written materials
Messaging/Positioning: Providing strategic insight and counsel; contributing to positioning and message development and participating in positioning and messaging sessions
Account Management: Working with agency leadership to manage the account teams resources and workflow; manage monthly client budgets/billing; mentor team growth and development
Agency Roles: Participating in the new business process; lead agency trainings; input on annual reviews; proactively mentoring and providing feedback and constructive suggestions to teams/peers

Account Executive

Hatch is looking for an exceptional Account Executive to join our team.

Sure, we can give you the laundry-list of qualifications from HR (and yes, we do have them below for you to peruse), but our team and our clients aren’t cookie-cutter – a handful of tech and gadgets, a splash of consumer, a pinch of entertainment, and you start to get the idea that we love mixing it up. In your day-to-day as an AE at Hatch, you’ll get to:
Be a go-to expert for your clients by running ongoing programs like clockwork, leading media outreach efforts, and staffing briefings
Build relationships with media, analysts, influencers, celebrities and conference organizers to learn how they work and what they care about to help us tell our clients’ stories to the right audiences
Manage and mentor team members – be the conductor and keep the team on track, while also being the coach who provides feedback and teaches them what you know
Channel your inner artist – exercise creative and strategic thinking by helping develop strategies and plans for company and product launches, announcements, social media campaigns, events, etc.
Be pushed outside of your comfort zone and asked to take a stab at new things and explore unfamiliar territory, with the support and guidance of your fellow teammates
Contribute to team Hatch by participating in trainings, bringing new insights and experience to the team, and joining in on regular Hatch klatches where we host guest speakers and experts from media, government, finance, marketing and more

Desired Skills & Experience
· Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations, Communications, or a related field
· Minimum 2 years full-time PR experience
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and juggle multiple priorities
· Capable of exercising good judgment with quick response time
· A collaborative team player with the confidence to lead and guide team members when necessary
· Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills
· Possess strong work and business ethics; be reliable, highly organized and dependable
· Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills
· Maintain confidentiality and exercise tact when dealing with sensitive issues
· Maintain an awareness of current events, local and national media, developments in the local and regional landscape and PR and Social Media trends

Intern

The Hatch Agency offers a full-time, six-month paid internship for college graduates who are looking for real-world communications training and experience.

The Hatch Agency is a nimble, flexible team where interns have the opportunity to experience every facet of the PR world. Interns are an integral part of Hatch client teams and work side-by-side with industry veterans on PR challenges and opportunities for world-changing startups and leaders.

Interns may also have the opportunity to continue hatching their career as full-time Hatch team members. Responsibilities
In this role you will work closely with fellow Hatch team members to learn the ins and outs of PR and collaborate on a wide range of projects that make an impact for our clients – from keeping a close eye on the latest news to creating clever social media content to coordinating for events, and more. The Account Director is a leadership team role who has direct impact on client success and Hatch team member success.  Hatch is a special place, made up of curious, real and relentless individuals. Role Overview:

The ideal candidate will have six to ten years of direct experience in public relations, media relations, and corporate communications for Consumer and Lifestyle Brands.

This is a great opportunity for someone that has an entrepreneurial core take strong initiative and demonstrate critical thinking and good judgement.  They are a natural networker and looking to grow and develop a creative and collaborative environment. This individual will be a key member of our leadership team. We are seeking someone that is an inspirational leader/mentor with a business mind for the service industry.

· Client Relations: Leads and directs client meetings; provides high-level strategic counsel; interacts with senior and C-level executives; demonstrates excellent judgment in difficult client and staff situations; up-levels client concerns; manages up and down as needed; acts as a point of contact for account health
·Strategy: Is a strategic problem solver for teams and clients; works to grow existing accounts through additional offerings; able to analyze and develop new and creative communications plans to achieve client and agency goals; demonstrates strong understanding of client brands and overarching communication goals
· Media/Analyst Relations: Strategically directs major media programs, campaigns, and events; has established relationships with multiple media/analysts/influencers across a variety of sectors and leverages relationships to secure strategic media opportunities for the clients and the agency
· Account Management: Manages team with a focus on development; responsible or actively involved in profitability of accounts; oversees client budget, monthly billing, and client communication
