  • Senior Account Executives work strategically across accounts by developing and nurturing great relationships with our clients, media and industry influencers alike. From driving strategic projects to working with account leaders to manage account teams to mentoring other team members, Senior Account Executives play a key role here at Hatch and we’d love to hear from you if you think you’d be a great fit for our growing team.

    We are working a hybrid schedule and looking for someone based in the San Francisco Bay Area.

    Experience:

    • 5-8 years public relations, media relations, corporate communications (can be combined)

    • 1-2 years project management

    Responsible for:

    • Project Management: Consistently delivering results; responsibility and ownership for success of programs such as speaking/awards, customer programs, and reviews; prioritizing tasks and assignments; demonstrating a high level of organizational skills; meeting deadlines; attention to detail; confidence and competency in reviewing the team’s work

    • Client Relations: Understanding our client’s business goals, market position, competitive set, and key messages to provide strategic counsel

    • Strategy: Providing recommendations to the team and clients and developing comprehensive communication plans to meet client goals

    • Media/Analyst Relations: Driving major media strategies and initiatives based on established media relationships

    • Content Creation: Writing and editing materials (contributed articles, executive talking points, major presentations, PR plans, blog posts, press releases, social content, etc.); and the ability to provide constructive feedback on written materials

    • Messaging/Positioning: Providing strategic insight and counsel; contributing to positioning and message development and participating in positioning and messaging sessions

    • Account Management: Working with agency leadership to manage the account teams resources and workflow; manage monthly client budgets/billing; mentor team growth and development

    • Agency Roles: Participating in the new business process; lead agency trainings; input on annual reviews; proactively mentoring and providing feedback and constructive suggestions to teams/peers

  • Account Executives are focused on the success of on-going programs (i.e. customer visibility, reviews, media programs, speaking, and awards) as well as work on projects, events, and launches. They have well developed client and teamwork skills and help foster the growth of Assistant Account Executives and Interns on their teams. Account Executives develop relationships with clients, media and influencers.

    We are working a hybrid schedule and looking for someone based in the San Francisco Bay Area.

    Experience:

    • Minimum 2-4 years public relations, media relations, corporate communications (can be combined). Strong preference for people with experience in tech PR.

    Responsible For:

    • Project Management: Is solutions focused; takes accountability for actions; understands how to best prioritize tasks or assignments; demonstrates a high level of organizational skills; meets deadlines; sees projects through to completion; attention to detail; confidence and competency in reviewing client facing and internal documents

    • Client Relations: Key contributor or owner of projects and programs; builds trust with client contact and teams; professional demeanor; able to analyze and contextualize information and begin to form strategic recommendations

    • Media/Analyst Relations: Draft pitches; pitches media, books press tours and dinners; manages press calls; reviews and edits briefing materials; identifies appropriate media targets; builds media relationships on behalf of the clients and agency; owns media opportunities from start to finish

    • Speaking/Awards Program: Identify, recommend and secure speaking and award opportunities; lead speaking/awards programs; prepare conference briefs

    • Customer/User Program: Draft pitches and case studies; create and maintain database of customer/user references; conduct customer/user interviews

    • Reviews Program: Draft product review pitches and supporting materials, create reviewer media lists, white glove support through-out review

    • Content Creation: Excellent writing and editing skills; able to write and edit materials (Social Media, press releases, blog posts, etc.)

    • Research: Analyze and interpret research and provide recommendations

    • Client Knowledge: Understands the client’s business goals, market position, competitive set, and their key messages

    • Account Management: Displays attention to detail across all client facing documents and emails, review and finalize materials; mentors AAE and Intern growth and development; lead programs as assigned

    • Agency Roles: Participate in new business process; lead agency trainings; is an active participant across the agency; input on hiring decisions; input on annual reviews; trains new employees; is a resource for AAE’s and Interns

  • The Hatch Agency offers a full-time, six-month paid internship for college graduates who are looking for real-world communications training and experience.

    The Hatch Agency is a nimble, flexible team where interns have the opportunity to experience every facet of the PR world. Interns are an integral part of Hatch client teams and work side-by-side with industry veterans on PR challenges and opportunities for world-changing startups and leaders.

    Interns may also have the opportunity to continue hatching their career as full-time Hatch team members.     Responsibilities:

    In this role, you will work closely with fellow Hatch team members to learn the ins and outs of PR and collaborate on a wide range of projects that make an impact for our clients – from keeping a close eye on the latest news to creating clever social media content to coordinating for events, and more. Strength in writing and research, the ability to juggle multiple priorities, and a team-player attitude with a hunger to learn are a few of the key qualities that we’re looking for.
